Last Days of CoSM

After many years, the time has come for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors to leave New York City.

Over the past few years, the Greys have been engineering a transformation from an urban art gallery in the trendy Chelsea district of Manhattan to an art sanctuary and sacred space in a relaxing natural environment.

On the CoSM blog the Greys discussed the upcoming transition in detail:

Many of you know that CoSM plans to transition to a property 65 miles north of New York City. This beautiful 40 acre site is walking distance from a NYC Metro North train stop. There are 6+ buildings for studios, workshops, conferences, retreats, offices, art exhibitions and an installation of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors permanent art collection. The date of closing on this wonderful place is approaching.

CoSM’s last event will be the New Year’s Eve party on December 31, 2008.

Isratrance, one of the primary sites facilitating the global psy community, has released a free compilation.

Soma in a Shirt

Support netradio by buying a SomaFM shirt

SomaFM streams electronic music on the Internet. They play good independently-produced tracks, but since they are a legitimate business they must pay heavy fees to the RIAA. SomaFM has been raising money since summer to cover their operating costs and they are still in debt.

As of November they have raised $36,000. They need to raise at least $39,500 by the end of December to balance the budget. Here is where we come into the picture.

Anyone who donates $50 to SomaFM and gets a SomaFM tshirt! They come in black, red (both cool!) and white shirts (not-so-cool) with the Soma FM logo lettering in red (or black on the red shirts).

We have always and will continue to operate on a sustainable financial model with no outside investors or venture capitalists to answer to, allowing us to be truly independent internet radio. Making a great radio station that you can count on is more important to us than making money, not the other way around (like most other radio stations).
