Psylicious Radio Relaunch

Psylicious Radio launches once again on Wednesday 21st January 2009. Yes we have had a few weeks off over the festive season and we would like to wish all our listeners old and new, a happy new year! The 2009 launch features Harderfaster.net‘s editor Adam Symbiosis delivering a set of psychedelic breaks.

The show combines Psylicious and AudioAddictz and runs all day every Wednesday and repeated every Friday, for all 24 hours each day. Presented by EarthAngel, guest shows with Mistress Jade, and the inclusion of three residents; Psykia, Transjuicer, and Meghan:

Psykia – Italy
Psykia’s energy of full on killer sounds are a liquid of, hypnotic psychedelic beats, driving bass lines and tingling melodies that draw you into what ever journey Psykia takes you on. Her progressive set’s are ideal during the day, and reflects her sunny and dynamic personality. Psykia is the latest addition to Psylicious Management roster. Meghan – Northeast U.S.
Meghan is very well known in the Eastern Midwest(USA), and her sets will take you on a journey, with mixes that are very well constructed using tracks from all genres of Psy trance music. No stranger to Internet radio with regular guest mixes on various stations including DI.FM, Meghan joins Psylicious Radio as a quarterly resident.
Transjuicer – Holland
Real name Hans Van Noord, is no stranger to the Dutch Psychedelic Trance scene, having played throughout Holland and further afield including the UK. Juicing together the many fruits of psychedelic trance is what Transjuicer is well known for, his sets are always well received as he delivers seamless mixes onto the trance floors and into the airwaves. First Trance Song I Ever Heard

Back in 1997 my best friend from high school came back from his first semester at college with a mixtape containing music of a sort I had never heard before. The first track on the dubbed tape was Triptonite, by Etnica.

New Year's 2009

This new year holiday saw numerous successful psy parties and afterparties in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. With the exception of a noise complaint served at the free Psybotik afterparty (fortunate considering the nature of the space it occupied), the police did not repeat last year’s harassment against the community.

We chose repsychle‘s first attempt at a NYC NYE party, and were glad to see that the crowd was full despite the threat from an event of a local competing organizer.

Random, Mubali, Luis, Brandon Adams, Daksi, and Spyros upstairs; Reality Engine, Kife, Tony Unorthodox (pictured above), O, Vitalik, and Andrey K downstairs. Deco was provided by a cluster of deco teams, including _____ ‘s psychedelic tapestries and string-art, environmental space shaping and geodesic deco by Nephil9, and visual projections by Gulliarme Clave.
